A comfortable sofa is essential to every home. It should provide full body support so you can snuggle and read book, wrap up and watch a good movie, or seat a group of friends comfortably. As a tall you might experience what I call “the edge of the seat” feeling when sitting on standard sofas. You can literally feel the sofa stopping about mid way on your thigh. Not comfortable at all.

Below are photos and links to a few extra deep sofas that will allow most to swing their feet. The extra long depth supports longer thighs. When entertaining shorter company you can put several full sized throw pillows on the sofa to help reduce the extra depth. Also consider the back height when making a purchase. Sitting for long periods of time will definitely require getting a sofa with a taller length for proper back support. If it’s going in a sitting room you can go with a more stylish lower back sofa. Lastly, if purchasing a sofa that comes in pieces ask the company if they can provide clamps at the bottom of the sofa to prevent it from separating.
