Nordstrom’s April Fit Event (Overs and Unders Shoe Event)

Ahhh the joys of finding shoes that fit! Finding stylish shoes for a size 13 foot is no easy feat; however, I always manage to get some great finds online or at Nordstrom’s. During a recent trip to the store, I asked the sales associate to bring out everything they had in a size 13 that met my specifications. This particular trip I was interested in flats and/or kitten heels for work and play. The sales associate brought out about fifteen pairs of shoes . . . I came home with five! Hey, normally I only do this twice a year (sort of), and two were on sale. While there, the sales associate informed me that Nordstrom’s April Fit Event is occurring Saturday, April 24, 2010 at 9am in the Pentagon City Mall located in Arlington, Virginia.

The April Fit Event is for women who wear a shoe size under five or over ten. This event is also referred to as the Overs and Unders Event. You can choose from an expanded selection of new footwear from some of the top brand names: Sofft, Me Too, Jeffery Campbell, Onex, Vaneli and more. This particular location will also serve light refreshments and give you a gift for attending. I was informed that the shoes are handpicked from designers that provide women, with hard to find shoe sizes, stylish options. So no grandma shoes—we shall see.

If you are not in the DC Metropolitan Area, call your local Nordstrom’s or click here to check events online. Normally the largest store in the area will host the event. Unfortunately, some areas have already had their April event, but don’t fret. They hold this event twice a year. The next event will be in the fall. Ask your sales associate to email you when the event is given a date. They will also, if you ask nicely, let you know when stylish selections are available in your size. Of course you can go online to purchase, but it’s always nice to try before you buy. In addition, if the shoes are a little too tight they will stretch them for free at the store. And they have a great return policy if you are not satisfied. Happy shopping!
