Fleet Feet Sports: Finding the Right Athletic Shoe (Video)

Are you tired of athletic stores not carrying your size and/or not providing a shoe with the right fit? Well, if you are in the market for a new pair of gym shoes, check out Fleet Feet Sports. This is a retail wonderland for runners, walkers and fit enthusiasts. The sales associates are trained to use Fleet Feet Sports “F.I.T. Process” to help you choose the right shoe for your foot. They provide running and walking tests on a treadmill, which allows them to evaluate your foot’s gait and biomechanics to help you pick the correct shoe for your sport (type of fit test may vary by store). And if you’re wondering . . .YES, they do carry sizes 12 and 13 for women. If the shoe you want is not in stock at the store, they will order it for you. Their shoes are a tad-bit pricier compared to most department stores or shoe stores that you might find in a shopping mall, but the extra services they provide make it well worth every penny.

Feet Fleet has several locations around the US and unfortunately this retailer does not offer online purchasing. If you plan on visiting a location to have a running test/evaluation, I absolutely recommend calling ahead to scheduling an appointment, especially on the weekends. Also, if you are interested, some stores offer training programs for runners.
