I admit, I’m a bit late getting on the leggings bandwagon. However, Lululemons Polartec Power Stretch made me a believer! While in the store searching for yoga pants to go under my ski gear (can’t wait to show you all my tall find from Colorado) the sales lady showed me the Polartec. Tried them on and they were so comfy. It was like wearing a super soft pair of jogging pants. Since then I’ve also worn a pair of regular leggings under a dress.
I think I shied away from leggings because they are thicker than tights and unfortunately most tights irritate my skin and I can’t stand to have them on for more than a couple of hours. So for me it’s really all about finding the right material. I’m also a hot box so I need them to be breathable. Below you will find a listing of brands that sale tall leggings that you can wear everyday (the first two double as workout pants). If you click on the links you can poke around their sites and find more choices. These are the ones that stood out to me. Let me know if this helped or if I missed any. I also have a list towards the bottom
Polartec® Power Stretch® 2 Tight (31″ inseam; Size xxs-xl)
Love, love, love these leggings. Perfect for the winter. I wouldn’t recommend running in them as the site suggests (you would get way to hot), but they are perfect for going out in cold weather. Wore them in Colorado with tall black boots and they were extremely comfortable. Also at 6’1″ the length was great. This pant has lots of stretch. When looking for clothes at the last minute for my trip I found Athletica had more tall options than Lululemon in store and online. Price $80.
They have some other cool leggings avail in Tall, but you have to dig to find them on their site. I posted a picture of myself wearing their dance pant on Tallook’s FB page. There pants run around $100.
Check out their video (I thought it was cute):
They have the longest pair out there and they are body shapers. Price range is $38-$56.
Their legging are very affordable and of course are super long. The floral ones mentioned below are almost sold out–yikes–but they have a Classic Jersey Leggings (33″ inseam; Size xs-xl) available. Price range $30 or 2 for $45.
I like the extra details on these. Also, they come in several sizes. Price range is $60-$80. If you like Ann Taylor they have the Tall Ponte Zip Leggings (31″ inseam; Size xs-xxl) for $80.
You have to click on a few to find the jeggings and leggings that come in tall. they have “long” and x-long” avail in some styles. Price range is $20-$50.
When on their site search for “tall leggings” for more options. For some reason they don’t show up in their tall section. Their legging on avaerage are about $30. Of course there sister company Gap has a pair of knit leggings and one with a side-zip.
